Event Overview

This all-inclusive event will take place under a spacious tent situated between the dunes of Duxbury Beach.  The evening will begin with ICO’s iconic raw bars loaded with unlimited oysters as well as passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails created by Boston’s favorite barkeep, The Hawthorne’s Jackson Cannon. Cocktails will be followed by sunset over the Back River and short plates created by some of the the best chefs in the country.  Our food lines are renowned for their brevity, but queuing up with chefs, winemakers, farmers, musicians and philanthropists ensures our lines are one of the night’s best forms of entertainment. Other highlights include live music, and a cigar lounge under the stars. All proceeds from Friends for Haiti directly benefit our collaboration with Dr. Valentin Abe of Caribbean Harvest to  purchase Tilapia Fish Farming Kits and related supplies for Haitian families in Lake Azeui.

Our Final List of Chefs – What a Line Up!

Become a Sponsor

Equally at home in the muddy world of farming and the white-linen world of the nation’s finest restaurants, our oysters and our brand appeal to a diverse set of people who share at least one common quality: good taste. This preference starts at the palate, but it extends in equal measure to responsibly-run businesses, earnest philanthropy, and joie-de-vivre.  Hitch your wagon to the ICO love, join the fun, and help improve the way the world feeds itself all in one night–become a Friends for Haiti sponsor in 2012.  Sponsor Kit (PDF).

Bragging Rights

The $100,000 donation funded by last year’s Friends for Haiti bought starter kits for 240 families who grew 40,000 lbs of fish in three months, pulling them out of abject poverty and taking a big step toward providing the people of Haiti a local, sustainable source of protein.

“Friends for Haiti brought some of Boston’s best chefs to Duxbury Beach.” The Boston Globe, Mark Shanahan and Meredith Goldstein

“A delightful evening… If Oysters are aphrodisiacs, everyone went home horny but not hungry!”  Improper Bostonian, Jonathan Soroff
